Before we get accused of becoming Last FM obsessed....there's a good podcast interview with Martin Skitsel, one of the Last FM founders, at Mediasnackers. (podcast no.47). With a claimed 12m visitors/month, they're clearly not doing all that bad. He also highlighted the problem of applying their peer recommendation model to other genres like wine, books, movies etc. (We still think there's a way round a 'rating' system which is what he thinks these categories would need). Some good stuff on there too about 'using the knowledge of the crowd', 'avoiding the music journalist stance of telling you what's cool and what you should check out' and Last FM not being the 'guardians of taste' but simply a means of bringing people together to discover things for themselves. Thanks also to Patrick who let us know about Ministore. As Patrick said, 'it was only a matter of time [before Ipod got into this space]".
Right, no more on Last FM for a while.

Thanks for this read mate. Well, this is my first visit to your blog! However, I admire the precious time and effort you put into it, especially into interesting articles you share here!
