South Africans have an amazing sense of humour. Just look at these warning signs we discovered at a Cape Town penguin colony. Penguins are very loveable creatures. But what I didn't know is that they like to hide under cars.
Situated throughout the visitors car park, these signs received as much attention as the main attraction and as far as I was aware no penguins were squished in the hour we were there. An effectiveness award waiting to happen.
But this all got me thinking about information graphics in general - could things be funnier? Is it time that public signs had a sense of humour?
